Research-lodge buildings in the landscape
THE PROJECT
Scope, setting and delivery.
The setting
Nasaru Naturals grows spirulina using Lake Natron’s alkaline water and works with the Maasai community. The research base sits within that landscape.
JSM’s scope
JSM’s commission focused on lodge buildings and tented accommodation. The work provided building and accommodation facilities for the research base.
Building around a purpose
The project brings JSM’s construction experience to a setting where accommodation supports field-based work. The photographs show the lodge buildings and construction within their surroundings.
